I have just received over 800 vintage ceramic slip cast hobby molds as a gift. The most lovely couple in the world , Issie and Derek have generously given me these plaster relics. The transfer of the Molds has been the best gift ever. When someone entrust in you a gift such as this it plants a seed that will grow forever. A passing down of wealth, a letting go, the freedom to receive.
The molds are now my shadow filling in, branching out, giving rise to detail. I will be using these to Write a story bit by bit to share with the world.
Thank you Issie and Derek

I have just finished making a batch of pears for Hand in Hand Gallery in Flat Rock NC.
http://www.handinhandgallery.com/ . Hand in Hand Gallery is the creative union of porcelain artist David Voorhees and jeweler Molly Sharp. The gallery is also home to eight other Voorhees artists. A family affair indeed. I love making the pears for Hand in Hand. The pears embody my appreciation for leaving a maker's mark in the clay. I feel a perfect balance between myself and the medium from finish to end while creating these. That is why I love the pears.

When Laurent Roure of http://www.breadnhoney.com/ asked me if I would be up for doing a London Expo of fancy figures I blushed and squirmed a bit in my slip covered jeans. But of course, I would love to precede opening night of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland with a showing of the runnybunny figures. So there I was, nestled in my Styrofoam of a box studio clutching my childhood copy of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland when it hit me. I have never left Wonderland. Thank you Mr. Carroll or was that Miss Carroll?
